Thalassotherapy and El Palasiet
For more than forty years, a perfect professional medical treatment development of thalassotherapy has been established by the Medical Aesthetic Institute of Thalassotherapy Marine Thermal El Palasiet among the most distinguished in the continent. The adventure of the introducing the thalassotherapy began in 1966 in Spain when the Doctor Joaquin Farnós Gauchia created the Thermal Centre of Helium-marine of Benicassim which was the first introducing the rehabilitation services in Spain together with the other Spanish medical centres like Hospital La Paz in Madrid and the Hospital Vall de Hebron of Barcelona. The Thermal centre of Benicàssim was one of the most prestigious in Europe using the thalassotherapy as a base of the realization of the specific rehabilitation functional treatments.
The Termas Marinas El Palasiet officially started their activity as a centre of thalassotherapy in 1970 for what they used the hotel establishments of El Palasiet which was a traditional summer hotel remained a touristic phenomenon in the 60s. We must highlight that the hotel was totally refurbished in 2002 following the perfectionist spirit of renovation and it was expanded later in 2005, preserving a genuine spirit of the original building. Nowadays, it is transformed in one of the most attractive clinical centres of the Levantine coast thanks to its exceptional decoration by Teresa de los Santos, it is original and intimate. And, above all, it counts legendary on one of the latest centres of thalassotherapy in Europe surpassing the consecrated 2.700 m2 to the advance of this professional discipline.
